Privacy Policy

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how Transmission Drum & Bass (“Transmission”, “we”, “us”) handles information collected through this website. It doesn’t cover ticketing platforms, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube, social networks or other sites we link to, which have their own privacy policies.

2. What we collect

• Mailing list: your first name and email address. If you choose to, also your mobile number (for text alerts), the updates you want (show dates, presales, merch, mixes) and your confirmation that you’re 21 or older.
• Photo and video submissions: the files you send, your email address (never shown publicly), and if you give them, your name, Instagram handle, the show and a caption, which we use to credit you.
• Plays and likes: when you play or like a track, we add to a count. These counts aren’t linked to you.
• Technical information: like any website, our hosting provider processes basic request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. To stop spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address of anyone who sends photos, not the address itself.

Payments: none. We don’t take payments on this site and never collect card or bank details.

3. How we use it

• To send you the updates you signed up for.
• To review, post and credit the photos and videos you send us, and to contact you about them if needed.
• To run and secure the site.

4. We don’t sell or share your information

We don’t sell, rent, trade or give away your personal information to anyone, and we don’t use it for advertising. It’s used only by the Transmission team.

The only outside company that handles it is our website host (Cloudflare), which stores the site’s data on our behalf and can’t use it for anything else. If we ever use an email or text service to send mailing-list updates, it would handle your details only to deliver our messages. We would disclose information only if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests, artists and crew.

5. Cookies and storage in your browser

• We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
• The tracks you’ve liked are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they’re still there next visit. This stays on your device.
• Our admin login uses a cookie, only for our team.
• When you play a track hosted on SoundCloud, SoundCloud’s embedded player loads and may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.
• Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.

6. How long we keep it

We keep mailing-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Photo and video submissions we don’t post are deleted after review. Posted photos stay up until you or we take them down.

7. Your choices

• Unsubscribe: use the link in any of our emails, or contact us.
• Access, correct or delete: contact us and we’ll send you a copy of what we hold about you, fix it, or delete it.
• Nevada residents: we don’t sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You can still send us an opt-out request at the address below, and we’ll honor it.

8. Age

Our events are 21+, and this site isn’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we’ll delete them.

9. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), a password-protected admin area limited to our team, and a trusted hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll let mailing-list members know.
